Fever is the body's response to an underlying illness. Fever is typically brought on by a viral illness, and the body raises its temperature to help the virus leave the body because high temperatures will cause the virus to perish.

Here are some helpful tips on how to deal with fever:

• Drink lots of water to keep your body well hydrated.

• Take enough rest to prevent the body temperature from rising.

• Wear comfortable, light clothing in the event of a fever.

• Compress with lukewarm water and take fever relievers.

• Take medication such as paracetamol to help bring down the fever.

If your fever persists, please schedule an appointment so we can get to the root of the problem and treat the cause.

Pregnancy can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time, so here are some guidelines for what to do next:

1. Confirm your pregnancy and determine how far along you are.

2. A medical examination to determine your general health and any risk factors that may occur during your pregnancy.

3. For optimal foetal development during pregnancy, we prescribe certain supplements.

4. During the first trimester, we run some blood tests on mom to confirm antibodies to certain infections. We also test your Iron levels and confirm your blood type.

5. We offer ultrasounds throughout your pregnancy journey, from the first time you hear that little heartbeat to checking your amniotic fluid during the last few days.
